Using Elastix as a PSTN Gateway for Elastix 5 / 3CX

Using Elastix as a PSTN Gateway

So you’ve decided to switch to Elastix 5 and take advantage of the new advanced Unified Communications features such as integrated softphones, smartphone clients for Android and iOS, integrated WebRTC web conferencing and more. BUT you don’t want to lose your PSTN Card Gateway in the mean time?

The good news is you don’t have to! You can convert your Digium compatible voice card (Digium, Sangoma, OpenVox) into a VoIP Gateway that can be used with Elastix 5. So in other words you can re-use your PSTN interface cards until you have fully converted into a SIP Trunk.

The best part about it is that it’s super easy and straightforward to do. Read our simple guide on how to do so – it’s only 4 Steps!
