Matrix an open standard for decentralised persistent communication

Matthew Hodgson, technical leader of this organisation will present a speech at the event

Real-time communication on today’s internet is fundamentally broken and fragmented – be it for VoIP, IM or IoT services.

If I want to send you an email, all I need is your email address. However if I want to VoIP call or send you an instant message, the situation is very different. In most cases, each service is an isolated silo which only allows communication within that silo. Surely we can do better?

Find out how want to solve this problem at Elastix World 2015!

Matrix is an ambitious new open standard for open, distributed, real-time communication over IP. It defines interoperable Instant Messaging and VoIP, providing pragmatic HTTP APIs and open source reference implementations for creating and running your own real-time communication infrastructure. will be present for the first time in ElastixWorld and South America to promote open standards, new technologies and open federation between servers meaning that anyone on the internet can join into the Matrix ecosystem by deploying their own server.

Matthew Hodgson, technical leader, will discuss Matrix’s proposal during his speech and on booth number 14.
