As you may remember, together with Elastix 1.0 we launched the first version of our Call Center module. This is an innovative module that allows for campaign management for inbound and outbound traffic. It also includes a predictive dialer licensed entirely under GPL. Som people believe this is the best, most usable Open Source Call Center project to date!! Now, a few days ago some people have asked us why we have launched the Call Center functionality as a post-install plug-in module instead of including it directly in the Elastix ISO? This way, the Call Center functions would be ready to use out of the box. This new version of "Elastix Call Center Edition" ISO could also include improvements for some call center business processes as well as specific patches to Asterisk or any other development that would be useful for your businesses.
However, this would mean to maintain two different versions of Elastix: the regular version, and the Call Center version. We are still thinking which path to take. However, as always, you would be the ones deciding. So please let us know your opinion.

"Elastix is a stable, reliable and flexible system, built to serve both: integrators and end users. For these reasons we chose it as the default operating system in our IP-PBX solutions, and market feedback confirms this was a good decision."

I am one of the GNU GPL Community Member,i have a question.
Can i download your software and edit or else develop it for my own style and also can i copyright to my own company banner.
Need reply urgent.Because there is the option in GPL Software to copyright to some other name .
Here i have attached GPL license Document.
Also Some people says" we claims (his) software (elastix).
I am wanting to build a small outsource call center, were my employees would work from home using there own highspeed internet, computer etc.
Since I seen this posting I thought I should express a feature/function that I have yet to find developed for Asterisk. (other than a sip client)
For work at home agents trying to setup SIP clients was really bad outcome when 8 of my friends and myself created a test senerio, the sound was choppy or the call was lost.
If the agent called in using a land line and logged to take calls the quality was smooth for every one of us.
What I would like to try to have developed in like a sip client, but web based (runs local on the sip server) that would let the agent place calls on hold, transfer ect from the web base tool.
I also think the last thing you would want is to manage several versions/ISO's etc..
