Hello ahahum, in case you have not solved the issue, I can recommend to follow the configuration steps below to get your Polycom IP550 autoprovisioned with Elastix. We have confirmed this to work between a SoundPoint IP 550 and an Elastix 2.3 server (should actually work on any Elastix version):
Once inside the linux console of your Elastix server:
1. cd /tftpboot
2. wget "
downloads.polycom.com/voice/voip/sp_ss_s...elease_sig.zip"
3. unzip spip_ssip_3_0_4_release_sig.zip
Through the menus in the SoundPoint IP550:
1. Press the 'SETUP' softkey shown near the bottom of the screen when the message "Welcome! # seconds until autoboot." is appearing (during the reboot loop)
2. Enter the password (456)
3. Configure your local network settings for the phone (take into consideration that the Elastix server and the IP550 must be in the same local subnet)
4. Select the option "Server Menu:". Once inside check for the configurations to be set as follows:
a) Server Type: TrivialFTP
b) Server Address: IP address of your Elastix server
c) Server User: leave empty
d) Server Password: leave empty
e) File TX Tries: 3
f) Retry Wait: 1
g) Prov.Method: Default
5. After exiting back to the main screen (where the message "Welcome! # seconds until autoboot." is shown) the phone will be able to autoboot properly
Using Elastix's Endpoint Configurator tool for autoprovisioning:
1. Go to PBX->Endpoint Configurator
2. Click on "Discover Endpoints in this Network" (again, the Elastix server and the IP550 must be in the same local subnetwork)
3. Check the checkbox under the 'Set' column on the row belonging to the IP550 phone you want to configure
4. Select "IP 550" in the dropdown menu box under the 'Model' column
5. Select the extension you want to autoprovision the phone with in the dropdown menu box under the 'Extension to assign' column
6. Click on the 'Set' button
7. Reboot your phone
After the phone has finished booting it will be already registered to the server with the extension selected in step 5 right above.
