how to allow clients from ANY IP address 10 Months ago Karma: 0
How can I allow clients from any IP address? I want clients to send faxes from remote networks and I never know the IP addresses and even if I did most of them change.

Just watchout on doing it... It may cause you non-authorized access issues.

Anyways, if you still want to do it, you will need to do it manually on:
/etc/hylafax/etc/hosts.hfaxd

using some regular expressions, you may take a look at:
www.hylafax.org/man/4.1.4/hosts.hfaxd.4f.html

What ports do I need to open up? My clients will be faxing from all different public IP addresses.

anyone? I've done a ton of reading and it seems that it uses a FTP like protocol on port 4559, however, it also uses a range of ports. I tried passive and passive disabled and no luck. Any suggestions aside from opening an insanely large range of ports?
