It does sound like your system may have some gremlins in there...

Even if your file formats are incorrect for Asterisk, they will still load up, just won't play successfully.

Just before you rebuild, can you explain your CSV upload issue in a little more detail....it wasn't quite clear....

The reason why I ask, is if this is another "real" issue, then I am recommending rebuild, but sometimes things look like corruption (especially from a thousand plus miles away), but may not...

YOU KNOW IT'S NOT SUCH A BIG DEAL, I HAVE SEVERAL MACHINES. ALL WITH REMOVABLE DRIVES AND EXTERNAL DRIVES. THE DOWNLOADING IS THE MOST TIME CONSUMING.

WE HAVE 2 ISSUES HERE.

1) WHEN I UPLOAD MUSIC, IT SAYS "PLEASE WAIT, PROCEEDING" BUT IN REALITY IT IS NOT PROCEEDING AT ALL, BECAUSE HALF AN HOUR LATER IT STILL SAYS "PROCEEDING" AND NOTHING IS UPLOADING.

2) FOR THE UPLOADING OF CSV FILES. THIS WORKS BUT THEY UPLOAD ONLY AT THE CONDITION THAT I PUT A PHONE-NUMBER IN THE FIRST SECTION AND THE SAME OR ANOTHER NO. IN THE SECOND SECTION. THE THIRD AND FOURTH SECTIONS ARE OK TO PUT NAMES, ETC.

SO, FOR EXAMPLE, IF I WANT TO HAVE "PHONE NO.,COMPANY NAME,CITY,COUNTRY" IT WILL NOT WORK, BECAUSE I MUST HAVE A NUMBER IN THE SECOND SECTION, NOT A NAME.

Sorry, I should have explained what I was after in more detail myself....

You mention that you are uploading CSV files....now I can count 10 or so places myself for uploading CSV files, with about three or so that are relating to the phonebooks.

Exactly in what area are you trying to upload, is this for Batch Extensions, Phone Book entries....under Elastix GUI?? or under Freepbx GUI....??

HI BOB,
OVER THE ELASTIX GUI I GO TO: CALL CENTER, TO: INCOMING CALLS, TO: CLIENTS AND UPLOAD FILES.
THERE IT SAYS: TELEFONO,CEDULA/RUC, NOMBRE, APELLIDO. THIS IS WHERE I WOULD LIKE TO REPLACE "CEDULA/RUC" BY SOMETHING THAT CAN TAKE LETTERS AND NUMBERS, LIKE A COMPANY NAME.

HERE IS AN UPDATE:

1) MUSIC IS UPLOADING WITH "WINDOWS-XP / INTERNET EXPLORER" (I WAS IN "UBUNTU 12 / CHROMIUM" WHICH DOES NOT WORK).

2) CSV FILES DO NOT REALLY UPLOAD, AS I THOUGHT, IT SAYS: "RESULT (IN RED)" INSERTED RECORDS: 0 UPDATED RECORDS: 2 DETECTED CHARSET: ASCII (WITH CHROMIUM AND EXPLORER)

N.B.: ABOUT MY PREVIOUS MAIL, YOU CAN READ IN THE BOOK "ELASTIX EASY" PAGE 97:

"YOU CAN LOAD YOUR LIST IN A CSV FILE IN THIS FORMAT: "PHONE NUMBER","COMPANY", ETC. --THIS IS FALSE, BECAUSE THE SOFTWARE DOES NOT ACCEPT A COMPANY NAME, AS I EXPLAINED, IT ONLY TAKES NUMBERS !
