Hi all,
i have Elastix 2.0 with all FW rules, my VOIP provider said that my PBX is going out with the internal IP, in ELastix SIP settings i added the NAT so external public IP is shown
and local networks, same as i have on all my other 3 PBXs, i notice calls to all 3 providers
some times go out with no issue some time dial out but there is no sound and call is drop after few 19 sec.
its not related to Firewall rules as i open Any - ANY to PBX both ways and it was the same.
any idea?
thanks

moshe800,
the 15-35 second mark is generally a good indication that you have a NAT issue on the router (e.g. you may have to open up ports UDP 5060 and UDP 10000-20000 on your router).
This can differ from router to router, and may differ on your VSP....
Your Voip Provider has put you in the right direction regarding your SIP NAT settings on Elastix. I assume that you did this via Unembedded Freepbx, via tools, via Asterisk SIP Settings, and performed an Autodetect??
However, your router plays a part, and you may need to look at portforwarding, but understand the security implications before you do....
If your router has SPI option to turn off, or STRICT FIREWALL option to turn off, well worth testing these before you make changes to your Ports & forwarding....
Regards
Bob

Thanks Bob,
i have the following ports open in and out to my SIP provider and from.
UDP 5060
TCP_4559
UDP 10000-20000
in PBX - Astersik SIP settings i got NAT=YES and Static IP i add my public IP.
i got same settings in all other boxes with same Firewall ,if i am not missing anything
i guess issue is with the Cable modem that is my Firewall WAN.

Is your cable modem in "bridged mode"? I.E. your router is statically set to a public IP address, and NOT pulling something like 192.168.0.2 off the cable modem via DHCP.
If the latter, then you are essentially behind two NAT's. Even if your cable provider does 1-to-1 NAT, it's a pain to work with. I know that Comcast (around here) does not set up "bridged mode" by default.
