So we realized there is a need for a community manager. We have searched for quite a while and finally found a great community member. We are proud to introduce to you our new Elastix community manager: Rafael Bonifaz.

Without a doubt Rafael will be a valuable addition to our team. He will allow us to be more connected to all of you who have made Elastix what it is today.

Before joining our project, Rafael worked for the Ecuadorian Government pushing for the use of Free Software in the country. He did a fine job and even orchestrated a meeting between Rafael Correa, President of Ecuador, and Richard Stallman, Founder of the Free Software Foundation. As outcome from this meeting was a set of policies implemented for the use of Free Software in all government institutions.. Also, in 2007 he was invited to be an observing member of the Free Software Foundation Council for Latin America.
