The Elastix certification training is the only official source for Elastix related learning. During the training program the student is taken through a journey starting from the basics of telephony, through under-the-hood Asterisk knowledge, to the latest techniques in Voice over IP.

An officially trained Elastix professional will be able to create dial plans, architect robust voice over IP solutions, and troubleshoot most common problems. The laboratory practices have been developed to maximize the transfer of the instructor's Elastix experience to the student.

The objective

This training course is targeted to IT professionals from all walks of life. It provides the basics for students new to Voice over IP as well as enough detail for experienced Asterisk users to become experts in the Elastix distro. Most of our students are Linux/IT enthusiasts and professionals, Voice over IP solution integrators, and converts from closed source and analog telephony systems.

Why Elastix training versus other training programs?

Our instructors are highly skilled in the use of both Asterisk and the Elastix interface. Our training courses are different than others since we empower student to understand how to customize their Voice over IP solution and not simply use what's available. The student will leave the training program with detailed knowledge of how to confidently delve deeply into their Elastix-based system.

Program and Certification

The training program in Elastix is the perfect preparation for the Elastix Professional Certification. We've designed a training program that starts at a technician level and continues to an Engineer level. The two courses available for a complete career in Elastix are:

These courses are performed in an intensive mode in Appliance equipped classrooms to perform labs and simulated tests. Each participant receives the latest documentation available and a student kit with useful stuff and souvenirs of Elastix.

At the end of each course the student will need to pass an online exam in order to get the certification as Engineer or Technician.

This certification is also important to those professionals and companies interested in being Elastix Resellers. For more information take a look at the Resellers section.

Once the professional pass the exam and achieves the necessary requirements we publish an online certification that certifies the professional as an Elastix expert. A diploma is send to the student as well.

There are Certified Testing Centers in America and Europe where you can assist to take Elastix Training. Important notes about the Certification

- The training and official certification material is the text book: Unified Communications with Elastix Vol.1 and Vol.2
- You can find a free copy to review this information prior the training course at: www.elastixbook.com
- It is mandatory to review chapters one and two of the certification material. It is also recommended to review both volumes.
- We have two presentations available about topics presented in chapter one and two of the official text book. You can find that information at:

- Taking the course does not guarantee that the attendee will pass the Certification test.
- The training is an important tool to prepare the student but it is important to review the material.
- The attendee can take the exam at the end of the training for free.
- If the attendee fails he has on additional chance to take the exam, but it will have to be scheduled for another date.
- All re-scheduled attempts have a fee including a second attempt.
- The Certification test can be taken only at the end of the training or at any Elastix certified testing center.
- It is not the responsibility of Elastix or the testing center if the attendee fails to approve the certification.
