TOPIC: Random Elastix Crashes
#47772
Random Elastix Crashes 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 1
Every one to three days phones will stop ringing for incoming calls which are routed to a queue. The queue has about 20 phones in it and incoming calls come in through a sip trunk. I have looked through the log and don't see anything unusual and the only way to fix is by restarting the server.

I don't know if this is related but the only thing I see the messages log every minute is "elastix last message repeated 22592 times" where the repeated number ranges from 1000 to 90000. And I think the last message being referred to is

elastix php: /var/lib/asterisk/agi-bin/phpagi.php[1658]: Undefined index: phpagi

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You

(Running Elastix 1.4, Asterisk 1.4.29, FreePBX 2.5.2.2)

When it does that, what happens if you route it through to the likes of a Ring Group instead of a queue?

Is it worth updating your system, just-in-case?

Chilling_Silence: Thanks for your reply. I haven't tried routing through a ring group but I will try the next time it crashes. Regarding the update do you mean a software or hardware update. The software has been updated using yum and as per hardware it's running on a quad core xeon processor with 4GB ram.

Thanks

Upon digging deeper I realized that the phones de-register themselves. The server is configured for FOP2 and whenever the phones stop ringing I log into FOP2 and see all the users have the "unavailable/invalid" sign.

So then I have to goto FreePBX and go to any extension and click submit and then click apply changes (basically a reload of FreePBX) and all the phones come back up and start accepting incoming calls and ringing. I also updated to asterisk 1.4.30-2 last night and that didn't help either. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

More Findings

Logging into the terminal I do a "top" and the top three processes are dialparties.agi all with 99.9% CPU and TIME+ greater than 70:24.87

Is that normal?

Hi garfield81, that's not normal.
Have a look at this thread, maybe it can help:
