Hello support,
I am not sure whether here is the right place to post my question.But I do have some questions from my clients and I need some help from you.Thanks!
environments:
------------------------
elastix-1.6.20
openvox A400P
asterisk-1.4.26.1
DAHDI driver(not sure which version)
2FXO and 2 FXS
------------------------
Suppose:
module 1,2-->channel 1,2(are pluged FXO modules)
module 3,4-->channel 3,4(are pluged FXS modules)
And I need to implement this feature:
i.e. All outbound calls from Extension 1(the third module) will automatically be routed to 1st Channel
All outbound calls from Extension 2(the fourth moudule)will automatically be routed to 2nd Channel
That means channel3 binds channel 1, channel4 binds channel 2.
As we know,when someone makes an outbound call from extension 1, they will be assigned the first available channel (i.e. Channel g/1) and Channel g/2 will only be used as an outbound ONLY when g/1 is already in use.
On elastix GUI panel,it seems could not carry out this feature.
One method might be replaced it.That is I defined different context manually for different FXO.
For example, FXO one--->context=from elastix
FXO two--->context=from openvox
But I am not sure other features whether or not still works after my modification.Because I already changed the default context.
Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks!
Joe

I think you need to wrap your head around the "from-zaptel" context, that is critical for making FXO hardware work within FreePBX (Elastix) at least if you have more than one, I would start with "Elastix Without Tears" for the basics if that doesn't work for you, then search here (there are innumerable posts on exactly this subject) or ask openvox as to how they suggest you do that, then perhaps research "custom-contexts" (also more than a few posts here and elsewhere) if you need more granularity.
