I'm running elastix in a dell optiplex GX620 with 80GB HD and 2GB of memory.
so far so good, I'm supporting one office in MA with three aastra 6731i one in MD with three aastra 6731i also.
and my house with an aastra 57i. I also use a usb phone connected to my laptop so I can make anyplace my work desk.
In addition I use the elastix server to receive faxes.
I also can send faxes via a old fashion fax machine connected to a PAP2 but is not always delivered as I want to.
I use a Skype gateway to outbound calls (about $35 a year unlimited calls in USA no bad)
the only bad thing about it is that does not show my called ID when in other
people phones. if I want the CID to be shown I have another trunk that does it (this option pay per minute).

I want to build a new server with more capabilities to do business; if any one has some suggestion please give it to me,
no only about the server but also how to get services to resell etc. and all the minor stuff that involve getting into this business
