General Features

Compact design

Our appliances have a simple and compact design perfect for portability and ease of maintenance. With metallic cases in 1U, 1.5U and 2U formats, our appliances have enough expansion capacity for a wide range of applications using PCI ports or USB ports to support Elastibank^TM Channel Banks. All of our appliances are rack mountable allowing a quick integration to your network infrastructure.

Low power consumption

The design of our appliances allows them to consume the minimum possible power under normal conditions. This helps us save energy and lowers the cost of operation. We have done this, among other things to help contribute with the conservation of the environment.

Digital and Analog integration

The Elastix^® Appliances ELX Series can integrate analog or digital cards (FXO/FXS, E1/T1) according to your needs. We are ready and glad to give you advice before ordering an implementation in order to make sure you exploit the appliance’s functionality to the limit. All hardware comes installed, configured and tested from our warehouse.

Elastibank™ Channel Banks

Elastibank™ Channel Banks allow you to connect to any Elastix^® Appliance model via USB 2.0, thus eliminating the need for an intermediating PCI (the solution used by other channel banks).

The analog Elastibank™ Channel Bank packs a large number of ports into a single 1U chassis. It seamlessly connects to your Elastix^® IP PBX Appliances via USB 2.0 to provide up to 32 FXO/FXS analog ports in a single channel bank. Our Elastibank can also be configured with E1/T1 Digital ports in combination with analog ports to bring Digital / Analog external expansion for your Elastix^® Appliance.

Software

Elastibank™’s driver is included as an official part of Zaptel/DAHDI, making Elastibank™ integral with all Elastix^®/Asterisk systems.

AlwaysUp™ - Full and Automatic PBX Redundancy

This optional high availability solution for Elastix^®-based PBX systems provides automatic detection of server failure and immediate switching of all telephony functions, including telephony interfaces, to a back-up Elastix^®/Asterisk server within seconds. All Elastibank™ 2 models are capable of supporting AlwaysUp™ functionality, which is activated via software license.
