IP10S IPphone configuration for SIP

Be shure that your phone is not fitted with MGCP firmware, else find firmware update on the net.

All settings can be done from LCD panel or Web interface

From WEB interface:

Type IP address of the phone. Exemple given: 192.168.0.20

The administration WebServer page displays. Click “Administrator” button. The default login is “admin” and password “admin”

Enter “Network configuration”

Either check DHCP or not. DHCP is not recommended but can be usefull in a first step to discover DNS and gateway access then atribute a fixed IP address in the range of your network. Needs to reboot the phone to be effective

Click “SIP configuration”

Check “Registrar” Proxy server: “IP address of your Elastix box”:5060 / Example: 192.168.0.88:5060 Outbound Proxy: “IP address of your Elastix box”:5060 / Example: 192.168.0.88:5060 Register expires: 3600 User ID: Authenticate ID (Same as you fill in the freePBX extention) Authenticate Password: (Same as you fill in the freePBX extention “secret”) Display name: (Name displayed on the phone, can be everything) Use TCP: Unchecked Compact header Unchecked

As an example inside a private network: Check “Registrar” Proxy server: 192.168.0.88:5060 Outbound Proxy: 192.168.0.88:5060 Register expires: 3600 User ID: 101 Authenticate ID 101 Authenticate Password: 101 (displays***) Display name: John_101 Use TCP: Unchecked Compact header Unchecked

“NAT configuration” not needed inside a private network, “STUN” unchecked “STUN server” unfilled “Public network Address” unfilled “Local port” 5060 and “Dynamic RTP port” 50000 unless you have a special need. “Keep alive binding” 0
