Insert the Elastix CD in your CDROM and reboot your PC. To install a default installation, press ENTER in the initial screen (for other options, see the note for advanced users bellow).
The hard disk will be partitioned and formatted, and the required packages will be installed. The installation process is simple and usually takes less than 20 minutes in a typical PC.
Note for advanced users:* If you want to make a specific installation, different from the default installation, you must write “advanced” on the command line in the initial installation screen. There, you will be able to make a manual partition. This is useful if you want to configure
RAID.
Download the latest stable version of Elastix
here and burn the .iso image to a blank CD.
Boot your PBX from Elastix’s CD (You may need to set the “boot from CD” option in your BIOS configuration).
When the prompt is on the screen, press ENTER:
From this point onward, the installation will continue automatically. Further intervention will not be necessary.
