with all due deference I must disagree the codec is installed, just not functional. For a better explanation than mine

for fully indemnified G.729 codec for Asterisk your best bet is howlertech. They also have floating license so you can pool g.729 licenses across your entire network. go to www.howlertech.com/products/howlets/
