I would set some numbers in an addressbook and have the system recognize these numbers and return the name on the teleph display when receiving a call.

I tried to put some entries in the elastix address book module, then set CID lookup in freepbx looking to "internal" but does not seems to work.

Which are the possibilities to look up for a number and show the name using an internal address book (i.e. no http or web) ? I run elastix 1.6

The internal CID lookup will work with the FreePBX Asterisk address book, not the Elastix one.

You can also use the FreePBX additional module 'CallerID Superfecta' that can do a lookup to different web phone directory to do a search on the incoming number and return a name. It can also look in your FreePBX Asterisk address book, sugarcrm, or other MySQL source. However at this time there is no lookup source in it for the Elastix sqlite phonebook (I need to find some time to create it as it seems to be requested by more and more people...)

ok just wrote a lookup source for Elastix phonebook that will work with CallerID Superfecta.

This is a beta released and will need to be installed manually in the Superfecta/bin/ folder until it is release then it will be available through the Superfecta online update

That´s was a only small problem, the name and number are togheter (like: NumberName, and not Number Name). I tried to change the source code, but I very noob on this.
